TelTel, a provider of SIP-based global Internet telephony services, announced today that it is enabling Digitrad and TelePlus to rapidly offer VoIP service over TelTel’s PsipTN (Public SIP Telephony Network).
TelePlus will offer VoIP via the PsipTN as a result of a relationship with Digitrad, who is a TelTel SVNO (SIP Virtual Network Operator) partner. The addition of VoIP service greatly enhances TelePlus’s service offering for its core product, Vocalyz(TM).The Vocalyz product is a specialized telephone service for the mainstream international traveler that bundles reliable, inexpensive international long distance with a 24/7 live private assistant who functions as a translator, concierge or emergency dispatch in the user’s native language.
TelePlus is enhancing Vocalyz by providing its customers a branded TelTel softphone over the PsipTN and access to TelTel’s suite of services, including presence, Instant Voice, Instant Text and call forwarding.
“TelTel and Digitrad are helping TelePlus extend the lifecycle for Vocalyze,” said Jim Gibson, Vice President of Business Development for TelePlus Group. “Each company provides and integral piece and derives benefit from the relationship, it’s a win-win for all.”
Vocalyz and its new services are tied together through Digitrad’s integrated GSM billing and IVR (Interactive Vocal Response) platform, Stand4U. So Vocalyz users can continue to use the wireless local number, Teleplus services and the leftover account balances from the travel cell phone through the branded TelTel softphone. This extends the value of Vocalyz beyond the travel experience.
